Comment:

Hi,
I used to start my computer and it would load my applications, etc. without anyfurther assistance from me. Suddenly, the user's box with my name appears in the center of the screen. I have to there to click on it before my applications, etc. start to load.
I have looked in the control panel and other places for a check box so that I can skip that step, but have not found anything.
Isn't there a way to bypass that step?
Thanks
Ron

Go into User Accounts, Accounts and uncheck the box that requires users to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to login.

Your normal account should auto-login the next time you restart.

Just a suggestion though, unless you are the only one with physical access to this computer, autologin is a bad idea.
