I want to open Data files with the extension .dbx for my Outlook Express. It asks what program do you want to use. Does anybody know? One of the reasons that I am asking is that a friend of mine is having trouble with his computer and may want to Reformat so I'd like to salvage as much imformation as I can for him. By copying the Folders for Outlook Express in the .dbx extension form can I paste them directly into the new folders without opening them? Golfer24

Outlook Express isn't the only application that uses .dbx files, and you probably don't need to open them. If you need to save existing Outlook Express user specific files, you can back them up to somewhere other than the troubled hard drive partition and then import them into a virgin Outlook Express later.
