When I am sent an attached email, it will open in Notepad which is more difficult to read than if it opened in Outlook Express. What changes do I have to make in order to have these attached emails open in Outlook Express?

The attachment does not open in Outlook Express. It is opened by whatever program is associated with the file extension. If you get a file with a .doc extension and you click on it to open then it will open in Microsoft Word. If you don't have word on your computer then it will open in Word Pad. So it sounds like whatever the file extension is on the attachment, it cannot find the associated program to open with so it is defaulting to notepad.

azjeffb, I'm assuming that the attachment has a .eml file extension. If it does follow the instructions under "To run the Msimn executable file with the /reg option" at the link below.
