I need to make a counter-strike server. I cant because my cpu is connected to a router which means i have a firewall. I'm wondering how to open a port on my router so that i can disable the firewall that is preventing me from making a server that anybody will join. I have windows xp and its quite complicated. So if u know how do open a pot on a router plz plz tell me.

I had the same prob with my linksys and xp. But there is a way to open a port to allow users to join your server. I went to my linksys congifuration page at 192.168.1.1 in my web browser, advanced, fowarding, set service range from 2709 - 27106: make the protocool both if you can otherwise udp. I can make a counter strike server by forcing the port thourgh 27105 and runs fine.
