Even with newest drivers from 3dfx it's not possible to play games like Counterstrike with Open GL (Mini Port)on XP. Someone know
why? Please Mail
3dfx is out of business. There are no new XP drivers now nor will there ever be. Your best bet is to replace the card with one that is currently supported.

Unfortunately I don't see any for the 3500. Somebody has apparently hacked the 2000 drivers for 2000/3000 and 4000/5000 to work with XP. I used the hacked ones for my 3000 and they worked great. The problem I believe you are having, is that the MS XP driver only supports DirectX (MS's API) but does not support OpenGL. By installing the "hacked" driver I can run OpenGL games which by the way run nicely on XP. You might be able to try using the 3000-I am not sure.

The software industry is like the maffia, if buy something new like xp, there are no good drivers and you gotta buy new hardware, i'm glad that some folks are intelligent enough to hack these files and help people like me to play my games properly...... I just dl'ed the new hacked drivers and i'm about to find out if they work......... I'l post a new reply to let y'all know if they work... thx...

Well, it didn't work......... Same meeage as always, can someone plz tell me exactly how to install the hacked drivers, because i maybe doing somethin wrong...... THX...
