Only half HD capacity displayed in WinXpPro

I have just freshly installed Win XP pro on a 250 G drive and only 128 g are showing in windows. A partition tool like Partition Magic 8 will show 250 g but not windows. I have not yet installed any windows updates or service packs. The drive volume is also dynamic, can it be converted back?

Possibly - as you haven't installed any service pack(s)... when you install sp2 (or is it even sp-1) you will get to see it all?
