Hi! I am not aware of the currency online and may be I need to consult anyone of you who are frequent using online buying.
When a site publish $100, is it in US dollar? Some got a pound sign and some just like this! Just a dollar sign! I am wandering if it is US dollars!
You should look at the location of the site or person who posts the message. Many countries use the dollar sign...check out:
http://www.xe.com/symbols.htm
For example, Canada uses the $ symbol, which sometimes confuse Americans who shop online (some shops are located in canada and post their prices locally).
Other sites might be catered towards Americans, and thus post prices in USD (US Dollar)

Well, if it reads "$100" then it's one hundred dollars. qbone is right. If the price is listed in pounds, then it would show the correct symbol for pounds sterling...as shown on ebay's site. Same for Euros, etc...

I belive we already answered that. To designate which currency, you'll have to either look at the Currency Code, or if that isn't clear, then contact the website/business that you're attempting to buy from.
