I am experiencing one way audio when using MSN Messenger 6.0...anyone heard of a fix? Both my brother and I use XP Pro and MSN Messenger webcam features. He can see and hear me, but I can only see him...I can not hear him. He has a Logitech Quick Cam 4000 and the mic is working (confirmed).

Dear friend,
I think you should make sure that your sound card should is a Full duplex card and not half duplex to provide simultaneous two-way communication,If it is there then check the options in Sound and Devices section in control panel and Audio Properties.

This issue is most likely caused by bandwidth, especially so if you are using dial-up internet. See what happens when you stop the webcams. If audio works both ways then your problem if definitely caused by bandwidth.
Bandwidth isn't the issue as we both have cable. The sound card is full duplex and the settings are all correct. This same problem occurs whether we're using Windows Messenger 4.7, MSN Messenger 6.0, or NetMeeting. The only thing that ever changes really is sometimes we have video both ways and sometimes we do not. The closest to having everything working was with MSN Messenger 6.0, but I can not hear the other party (they can hear me).
