Hi,
I have been using Outlook Express to acess my msn and hotmail accounts for a long time now.
About 2 weeks ago it would no longer connect to there server.
I get this error message."Reported Error (0x800ccc32) Acess to the account is denied. Verify that your username and password are correct. The Server responder "Authorization Required"."
I checked my username and password and both are correct.
When I hit the send and recieve button the Log on box opens up. The one with my username and password in it. I have tried to retype all of that thinking that something might be wrong but no luck. So, I installed Outlook. I set up the accounts my self rather than transfering from outlook express and I get the same thing with this program.
My security is set to Med and I tried Med-low.
Each of the programs connects to my ISP e-mail accounts. Like I said it just stoped working.
Please any help or any tips to try would really be appreciated. I have 4 hotmail accounts and it is a pain to acess threw a web page. Outlook and Outlook Express make it so much easier.
Thanks,
Randy

Can you access the e-mail via accounts via the web? I am asking this for a good reason. I know you stated it is a pain but I need to know if you can log in via the hotmail.com web site.
KTTDNo, I will not fix your computer

Try this information found else where....
MS is constantly fiddling with Hotmail and, while it was previously possible to have IE set to anonymous login in security settings without adversely effecting OutlookExpress, that's no longer the case. IE, in security settings, must be set to something else. I made that change and my OutlookExpress is now able to access my Hotmail account.

Thanks for the info.
I changed my security setting for User authentication logon from anonymous Logon to Prompt for user name and password.
It now works OK.
Thanks for the help.
This is the best site for help. When ever I have had a problem, I have recieved info that has helped me to fix my problem.
Thanks again
Randy
