Hi,
I have reinstalled windows xp pro due to system problems.
My old account folder is still visible in C:\Documnets & Settings\ACCOUNTNAME
Problem is that I cant access the folder or re-instate it, just get access denied even when right mouse button clicked and file sharing is selected.
I have seen previous response's that advise to right mouse buttin click and take ownership of the folder, but I dont believe this is possible in XP as it is in 2000.

Thanks,
But as I said previously this does not work in Win XP Pro, as there is no option to take ownership of the file, only to share it, but access is denied when tried.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

To display the Security tab in Windows XP Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Double-click Folder Options. On the View tab, under Advanced settings, clear Use simple file sharing [Recommended].
