I have the 3½" disk for a DOS program. How can I put it on my new computer which runs on windows XP?

First problem is that XP doesn't usually run DOS programs if they are sophisticated, such as games. However:

I assume that you do not have a floppy drive in your computer, if you do, obviously, load it onto a floppy. Otherwise, or if it won't fit on 1.44MB, burn it to a CD. Or use a thumb drive.

Drag & drop it onto your hard drive.

In Explore, RIGHT click once on the .exe file / Properties / Compatibility tab / enable the "Run in mode for" and choose either Win98 or Win95. It probably won't run. Another feather in the cap of XP/Microsoft.

Download DOS Box:

Click Windows at the top, follow directions. Hope for the best. Best to you...
