Hi
Whilst messing about with stuff I'm not conversant with I changed the way in which a file is opened. The file extension in mention is the .img file.

Can someone please have a look on their comp and tell me what the default program is for these files to be opened.

I changed it twice so I can't even do the 'reset to default'!! OOps!!

Thanks for your help, if you need further info please ask.

Regards
John

A file of this type, will depend soley by an application installed on your puter. Many CD burning apps are set to open this file, also some compression apps will open this file type. On my puter I have the application WinImage to open this file. Determine what app you would like to always open this file type, now highlight an .img file, now while holdind down the shift button, right click on it, now click on "Open With", find the app you would like to always open this file, and put a check in the box on the lower left then click okay..............

Thanks Beth

The prog I want to use is Clone CD, but this option is not available in the 'Open with' window.

If this is what I need, is it possible to manually add a program to the 'open with' options.

Thanks very much
John

When the "Open With" box opens, down on the lower right, click the browse button, now go to the Clone CD folder and choose that app, then follow the instructions from above...
