hi

I tried to go to "hotmail.com" or but the page does not
display.The status bar says "done"?. I checked My IE 5
properties and jave is enabled.
In Netscape the page will load with no problems. Except in
Aol and In IE? in both browsers java is enabled
Also in other pages when i clicked a button the status bar
will say: "javascript,void();"
Any ideas. Thank you in advance.

Upgrage from 5.5 to IE6 with service pack 1, should solve the problem.

What if you're using a different browser, like AVANT? I have the same problems on one of my computers after a Critical Windows update earlier in the week.

Note Java and JavaScript are completely DIFFERENT things. Check the security setting and make sure that you have enabled corresponding scripting option. These include VBScript and JavaScript (and maybe others such as PerlScript, DelphiScript(?)).

Note 2: Updating will not solve setting problem. (almost in all occasions)

Security settings have been adjusted, same problem. I can't get into Hushmail, Hotmail, or BankOfAmerica. There is NO place for me to input my login name and password on either sites. WTF?

Juan, sorry to hijack your thread, but we are having the exact same problem. Did this happen after you updated a patch from Windows?

Now, I can no longer open the Windows Update page to contact them. Wonderful!
