OfficeXP winword.exe wont initiate

When I install office XP on my 300mhz Cyrix computer all programs open successfully with the exception of Word. When I click on the exe file I get an error signature with app name winword exe app ver 10.0.2627.0 Mod name winword exe mod ver 10.0.2627.0 offset 005FB998. I have tried reinstalling and detect and repair word does not open in safe mode either and the winword exe file properties read OK at 10Mb. I tried to install on my other computer and this worked successfuly. Please help. Kenny

My Winword.exe won't initiate then asked if I wanted to remove the shortcut. I said yes and now my Word program is gone. Now what? I really need that program to be working.
