Office XP weird problem

Hello all, I have this weird word problem, and I just don't know what could be the cause of it:
Word XP only gives me the choice between 3 system fonts when I try to edit documents. When I start it up it tries to launch an insall box and then opens up the interface. Excel is not affected by this - it runs fine.
I tried removing Office and reinstalling it alltogether, did not work. I repaired my fonts folder with TweakXP (just in case) - but all other apps are fine with font selections.

when you installed it, did you select all components? or just the minimal?
usually this doesnt install many fonts, sounds to me like if the fonts are in the fonts directory, then you have to apply a office xp service pack. 3 now i think.

Thanks for your reply. Well, the weird thing is that only Word seems to display this strange behaviour - if it were a SP issue, all components should be affected should they not? (by the way I think this occured after Pagis Scansuite was installed...

Nexus, I have found Word will only display a couple of basic fonts if you do not have a printer installed.
Install any printer and all the TTF fonts are displayed HTH Chappie
