At some point either after installing WinXP or downloading patches I can no longer click on e-mail addresses within a web page without getting the message "Cannot send mail. No mail program is set up to send mail using Internet shortcuts"
In IE>Tools>Internet Options, Outlook Express is the program listed. Incoming POP3 and outgoing smtp servers all seem correct. Have no problem sending or receiving e-mail except when clicking on an address.

Hello
Try this! Open Outlook, click on tools/accounts. Click on default mail/properties/servers. Uncheck my server requires authentication.

Goto IE, then tools -> internet options -> programs tab -> reset web settings, unchecked reset homepage.

See if that works.

Thanks, D.J.......you were right...resetting the web settings took care of it. I thought I had done that but apparently not.
