I downloaded an antispam program months back and it would send suspected emails into my deleted items folder upon opening outlook express.I disliked the program and uninstalled it. I then found out about mailwasher and have been using it since. The problem is some of my emails will still be sent to the deleted items folder when I open outlook and I dont understand why its still happening. Any advice on how to get this to stop happening would be appreciated. Thanks.

check tools / message rules / "email rules" and "blocked senders" rules. that other spam routine probably set these up for you. an uuninstall would still leave them in tact. clear out all the rules. (well maybe mailwasher put some there as well). be selective.

Okay,I have seven items listed in block senders but I'm almost positive that the mailwasher program put them in there. They are addresses that no longer try to send me email any longer(for the past six to seven weeks)due to mailwasher blacklisting them. So should I still delete them and if so will this prevent any other emails from going to the deleted box? Thanks again.

yah it will if you delete them all.
look at the specific emails sent to the deleted folder. are there any commonalities? you have to match up the ones you want to the rules that sent them there and delete only those.
You could delete all the rules, uninstall then reinstall mailwasher so it recreates the ones you want.

Wierd... I uninstalled then reinstalled mailwasher but it still had all the previous info in the program like all the blacklisted accounts,my account info and password. I thought I was gonna have to add all of that again with the new install. Is that normal and safe?

apparently the user created configure file is still in tact. If you can find it, rename or delete it and see if your rules disappear the next time you start up.
a few things: -does it install in its own directory and if so is that directory removed by deinstallation? -does the readme file say anything about the files it creates?
