Hi, I have some problem with my nvidia graphic card. I'm currently using Geforce2 MX 400 64mb.. I've been using it for almost one year.. and it has been working fine in xp for almost 6 months now.

Few days ago, a lot of lines started to appear on my monitor.. and the screen just suddenly hung and reboot.. after that I have tried to upgrade the driver in safe mode ..even tried to reformat my hard disk twice to see whether it's a hardware or software problem.. it seems that formatting doesn't fix the prob... so i thought it's hardware.. i took out the card and replace it.. after .. it's fine for one day..
the problem starts the next morning.. i couldn't fix it by the same way.. so i brought my com for repair... however .. my com works fine when the technician inspects it.. which is really weird.. coz i tested it just before i went to fix my com. I came back that day.. and my com works fine again.. till the next morning and problem starts again...

Now i can't even get into window... my screen hangs at the welcome screen.. with lots of lines.. surprisngly.. it works fine most of the time in safemode.. so i thought maybe it's the problem... but the problem sometimes appear in safe mode as well.. though not as frequent.

it's rather hard for to tell whether it's the driver's prob .. or it's the card's fault.. and i'm not too sure whether fixing the graphic card will solve the prob.. maybe i would rather get a new one... but i'm not too sure as well whether it's the agp slots prob... and so what if it's the agp slot prob?? do i have to change my whole motherboard..??
can someone help me

Try plugging in a new monitor. Or, if you have been moving your PC around, make sure the video cable is fully seated.

I'll try to plug in to another monitor

but now it seems to work fine if first i use safemode for maybe an hour.. then after that restart normally.. as if it needs to warm up first...
