I've gathered (not sure though) that I am having a problem with the video adapter, the video card in there is the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200. I don't know what to do about it however. I've read that I should uninstall this NVIDIA and then reinstall it. It says to delete registry items...I don't even know what they are. And once it is unintstalled, it says to install it again and I don't even know how to do that. If anyone has a comprehensive list of exact instructions, that would be great. If not, thank you very much for just reading about my issue. -Kelly

Hello.
Open your web browser and type in the following link in the address bar and download the latest driver
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_77.72.html
I have the same display adapter as you do and do not have any problem with it.
The link I provided contains a MS signed driver.
Before you install this driver, just uninstall the previous driver from Control Panel / Add Remove Programs and then reboot.
Then install the new driver. That's it. Do not feel a need to remove registry entries. When you uninstall the old driver, registry entries are deleted along with the driver files.

Wow. That super worked. Thank you so much. If you ever need any advice on anything, please do not hesitate to hit me up! I'll do my best!

Worked like a charm! Thanks alot. Something like that usually takes me hours to fix.
In my case, it happened right after SP2 install. I got the blue screen. Just boot into safe mode and install the file mentioned above and restart.
