NTLDR is missing

When I turn on my pc I get a NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. How can I get past this and get to my desktop. I don't have an A: drive. So I can't use a boot up disk. I'm looking for my xp cd but I can't find it. Please help

So what you're saying is all you can do is push the button or not push the button. You have no A: drive so you can't use ANY of the many free utilities on the net. You don't have your operating system CD so you can't utilize any of the utilities there. So it looks like you can't do anything at all. I'd say you'd better keep searching for that CD or beg, borrow, steal another one. dark.

Nothing you can do without a floppy drive or XP bootable CD for repair, seem's your missing some boot files, maybe boot.ini missing, only other thing I can think of is remove the HD and put it in another computer as a secondary drive and peek and see if your boot.ini,ntldr and ntdetect files exist on it.
