Comment:

Last week I turned on my computer and I got a blue screen saying "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME". Searched on the net and found out I should use fixboot command to fix it. Tried to reboot straight away and now when I start my computer I get the "ntldr is missing" message.

I have Windows XP Home Edition which was pre-installed on my machine so I don't have the Windows XP cd.

Can anyone please e-mail me the ntldr and ntdetect files?

Thanks,

Phil

it doesn't work that way. you can't just copy those files an expect it to boot up. you'll either need to do a repair install or reinstall XP.
