Hi Fist up I had this problem UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
so I found out how to fix it at this web site http://www.maco.sk/win/unmountable.html
When i did fix it and restarted the computer I then got this error NTLDR is MissingHope someone can help

I had this same problem when I first installed XP. You do not have to do a fresh install but you will have to boot from the XP cd and do a repair of your drive. XP will replace the missing file(s) and you will be back to norm.
POWER USER

Same problem with NTLDR on Win XP. I copied it from my CD Install disc (on another computer) and copied it to C:
I also tried booting from the XP CD and chosing to repair the drive.
I still get the same message " NTLDR is missing".
ANY HELP APPRECIATED.

I had this problem this weekend. After running the Virus Scan on the windows reboot I got this error. I called Dell, as it is a new PC, and they helped me out. I booted from the XP CD but I had to get to the BIOS (by hitting F12 at the Dell logo) and select the boot up to ATAPI as the first source as opposed to the default [Removable Dev.]. I'm not too savvy with this type of stuff but I hope it provides some help.

NTLDR is missing: it is incredible, but I've had the same problem yesterday. To resolve the problem I have subsituted the ntldr file on C: (it existed there, as it does) from my floppy, where I have copied it some weeks ago for safety. It worked. So, I think that you have to take ntldr file (220 kb) from some friend. My Win XP is in italian, so I think that it wouldn't be good.

i have this same problem, i cant get past
