Yesterday I turned off my computer, then I turned it back on a few seconds later and it pops up with the message "NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart." I searched around quite a few sites and fourms to see if anyone else has had the same problem and ive seen it's pretty common. But ive already tried most of those solutions and it doesnt work.
This is the second time ive had the NTLDR problem, the first time was when i was first installing the drive on my computer which was brand new and was just built by my dad and i. This probably occured because the harddrive is a 200gb drive and we bought a PCI Hard Disc Controller Card to be able to get the full 200gb out of the drive. I forgot exactly how we fixed it though.
But so far for this new problem, weve tried about everything. So you know, I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO FORMAT MY DRIVE. Theres too much stuff on it id like to keep.
Weve already copyed the 2 files from microsoft, weve varified the boot.ini, weve reinstalled windows xp and the driver for the card, weve gone through the repair function in windows, the only thing we might be able to do i replace the card with a new but i want to see if theres anything else ive missed.
Sorry if im not too specific on what ive already done, just please if you have any solutions or ideas on what i could do, please share them with me.
Thank you very much in advance.

These may help.

ok, i just got a new card, (actually, the same card just a new one, and it doesnt work). Im pretty sure that it is either a problem with the dirver for the card, or a virus. But i dont know how id fix it after a virus and im not sure if buying a new card would even work. I dont want to take out the card and just plug the hard drive directly into my motherboard since that might mess up my hard drive. Any other ideas, those links just talk about software problems that ive already tried. Thanks, but i think it might be a virus, so any help on that? Thanks.
