ok, here's what's happening with my computer right now. I tried to boot normally this morning, and it loaded up past the memory test and it gave me the following message:
"NTLDR is missing, alt+ctrl+del to restart"
ok...did that...still didn't work... went into bios....everything seemed ok. tried again, no dice. Then I tried booting from cd. Oh crap, that didn't work either. NTLDR is missing message again. I am EXTREMELY worried right now. I basically cannot access my hard disk at all. I'm fairly sure I'm boned here. what should I do? I must admit...I'm not all that fantastic with computers, but i know enough that my hard disk is dual partitioned at the moment, and i read somewhere that this problem is related to that. After I get this done with, i'm switching back to a single partition, heh. Anyway, if you need any more info, let me know. Thanks muchly.

Welp... make sure the ide connection to your hard disk is plugged in (that may sound like a bunch of bs you read in a manual, but sometimes my ide cable come out) and if thats in correct, either your hard disk is crap or the NTLDR file is crap on your hard disk. format will correct this, or u can try his link first and copy the ntldr file from another guy's computer

You are not boned. Go to the mixrosoft knowledge base to find out how to fix it.
It is a twitch that xp appears to have.
