OK, my friend got a Dell Optiplex GX270 from his uncle that worked fine just didnt have a hard-drive in it. He gave me the computer. I bought a Maxtor 100 GB Ultra Series, 7200 RPM Hard Drive and bought brand new Windows XP Professional W/SP2.
I put the hard-drive in the PC and set it up. I ran the maxtor max-blast cd to set it up correctly and the computer reads the hard drive. I took the max-blast cd out, set the computer up to Boot Off CD and then put the new Windows XP Professional W/SP2 cd in. It boots up and then gets the error "NTLDR is missing. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to restart" It does this over and over. How do i fix this? this is a brand new hard drive and brand new windows. Thanks

Boot from the Windows PX CD and delete everything, including any existing partitions, on the disk and start again leaving the Max Blaster CD out of it. The Max Blaster CD is normally only needed when install a hard disk to a computer that already has a hard disk and OS installed.
Everything needed to partition, format and install Windows PX is on the CD. Just follow the instructions.
