I have a customer who runs ntl broadband. He leaves his computer on all the time and broadband works fine for a while but then cuts out and he has to restart the computer to get back online. the modem is plugged into a wireless router and the wireless router is plugged into the computer. he as another computer in the house with a wireless card and he can access the internet through this even when the main computer has lost the net connection. i have reinstalled the ntl software because my initial reaction was that whilst renewing the IP address the computer was not picking up the connection but as i have reinstalled the software and the other computer works im not so sure! Any ideas would be received extremely gratefully! Simon

Try another cable to the computer having problems. If that doesn't work, try another port on the router.
