Can someone resume a little the differences of both NTFS and FAT32? Programs and games are affected with one or another? Thanks!

Easy!
NTFS - Good performance / Great Security
FAT32 - Great performance / No SecurityFAT32 - Unable to see files on NTFS
NTFS - Able to see everythingSuggestion: Go with NTFS. You can always copy files from NTFS to FAT32 if you need to access them with Win95/98/ME
Soound good? Thought so!
Regards,
Brian

if you like to play games that are somewaht old i would recommend that you go with fat32.. though ntfs is better, but you wouldn't be able to play some games in it..

Hi LOF,
If you launch yourself into NTFS you wont be able to reverse back to FAT32. So what have you decided now? Witty

Well I switch over to NTFS, then ran a tune up @ http://www.pcpitstop.com/default.asp.
Unusually low disk performance...............
Drive C has a cached speed of 125.28 megabytes per second.
Drive C has an uncached speed of 1.22 megabytes per second.
For comparison, systems with the same CPU, clock speed, and memory size as this one have an average cached speed of 243.17 MB/s and an uncached speed of 3.48 MB/s .
Solutions:
One or more partitions are using the NTFS file system. Although this file system offers many good features such as encryption and improved security, it is generally much slower than the FAT32 file system. You may notice a significant performance difference between FAT32 and NTFS partitions on the same drive. Our tests compare your drives with the results of ALL other PC Pitstop visitors with the same CPU type and speed, regardless of file system type. Since the majority of our visitors have the FAT32 file system, most NTFS drives will appear slow by comparison.
Looks like I screwed up. Have to reformat everything to get back FAT32. They said it was a little slower but it seems to me it's alot slower than FAT32.
LZBEAR

Ntfs is slower than fat 32 then you just have formatted your HD
Fat32 will get slower throug time because
it shall handle more and more files.
Ntfs do not.... ok maby a little but nothing you will notice :)
