I need to make a boot disk that will read NTFS so I can fdisk and format my drive.. You would think that if you make a system disk on a computer with a NTFS system on it that the disk would read the contents off the drive and format it...well it won't and I Have done a Googlr search on Boot disks and I have found readers but nothing like a regular boot boot disk that will fdisk and format.. Thanks In advance

There are occasionally problems reported using the windows XP disk to format when you're trying to install. You have tried formatting with the XP disk, haven't you? Couple of things to try: Option 1, download the Six boot floppies from Microsoft and use those to install. Option 2, download the disk prep software from your hard drive manufacturers web site and use that to prep the drive.
