PC began sutting down by itself. After a short while it came up with NTRDL Missing, alt, crtl, delete. I put in my windows xp disk to reboot into recovery. I've copied the NTRDL file and the ntdetect files back into C then rebooted and still would not come up. New message though. Hit any key to continue. Still nothing happens. I put in a working hard drive to try to retrieve my flies from the original hard drive. I can check the disk and it shows in device manager but I can't access it to get the files. I unplugged the original hard drive, just using the one tha worked, rebooted and when it came up it got as far as the windows xp logo and for a split second you could see a blue screen with writing and in a blink it was gone and the pc was rebooting. grrrrrrrrrrr. can anyone suggest a magic cure? I've cleaned the insides, checked the connections and cables. I really need my hard drive. thanks for any help.
