NTDLR is missing

I just built a new computer: MSI KT3 Ultra Mainboard Athlon XP 1700 256 MB DDR-333 RAM
My 40 GB hard drive is empty and has an NTFS partition. I want to install Windows XP on it. I've set my BIOS up to boot from CD so that it will automatically run the WINXP setup. Instead of running the setup I get an error msg: "NTDLR is missing". I can't find a source for this problem because my hard drive is empty. Does anyone know what is causing this?

I would almost bet that if you used Fdisk and removed the NT partition and just used a primary partition or even left the HD clear you would not have a problem.

I think I get that msg when a new system tries to boot to a blank drive. Check your boot order to make sure it boots to cd first.
