I wish to run applications at startup with their icon not showing in the central part of the taskbar but in the right part (notification area).
Some applications e.g. norton internet security behave that way.
I want to do the same with other applications that presently show in the central part.

Putting an Icon in the notifcation area is a function of the programme. If the programme was not wrtitten to do that, there is nothing the user can do excpet speak to the programmer/distributor.
