So I start up my computer, like normal... And It takes forever to load the log in screen (I've had a custom one for a while now, so I don't think thats the problem) and once it loads, it shows the defualt log in screen, so I log onto my desktop only to recieve an error message, and I can't access anything and nothing will load or start.

Restart the computer in "Last Known Good Configuration"
Just tap the F8 key as the unit starts. At a point just after the Loader Screen and before the Windows XP screen, you will reciece a screen asking you to decide how to boot, just select the "Last Known Good Configuration"
If that fails to help repost.

Try googling the exact error message, or post here.

I had a similar problem after I upgraded my CPU. For months I've been pondering how come my system took so much longer to boot than it used to with a slower processor.
Then I reinstalled my whole system (due to an unrelated problem) with the current hardware setup, and the problem went away.
Sorry I can't point out a specific cause of the problem. If possible, just reinstall everything, including the OS.

Ok so Im the one who is having problems, not the poster. He was helping me. So I could try the restart on last known good config, but everytime I try to enter safe mode, it wont let me. the first thing I see on startup is a screen with text listing my graphics card drivers. Then the blue HP post screen.
