Comment:

hi after going onto a website i searched on google i got redirected to another site instantly a pop up came up saying virus detected ( i got rid of it) but i dont think that was all i got, now my homepage is set on this weird porn site and when i restart it says 16bit ms-dos subsystem
c:docume~1\alluse~1\startm~1\programs\startup\winlogin.exe
the NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction
cs:os43 ip (like im stupid enough to give that out) choose close to terminate application.
so first id like to know if this is bad the site doesnt bother me cuz i can click it away but im just wondering if there is anything else i have to be worried about, especally about privacy issues. thanks :)

Click start >> all programs >> Accessories >> system tools >> system restore >> when the system restore window opens click next >> now restore your computer to an earlier time (system checkpoint) before you started having the problem. you can click on any highlighted date on the calander that you see and then highlight the system checkpoint that you want to restore your system to. Once you choose a time and date just keep clicking next. Your computer will do a restore and then it will restart by itself.
After the restore is complete, do a system virus scan in case you still have that virus.

Regards

Did you try clicking on another day on the calender once you were in the system restore window? Thats very unusual that you don't have any system check points in the days leading up to the problem date.
