Hi!
I have a samtron 93V lcd. It always worked fine but yesterday when i turned the computer on a "Not optimum mode. Recommended mode: 1280x1024" message was displayed. I can't even enter in safe mode. (and the resolution was indeed 1280x1024). The lcd buttons wont work.. I tried to plug an old crt monitor to the computer and worked ok. So i guess it's not the graphic card. I changed the resolution to 1150 (using the old monitor) and then plugged the the lcd again. This time windows appeared but after a really long delay. I restarted the computer and the message appeared again! I can't even access to bios..

Do you think the monitor is broken? sounds like it is based on this discussion. The author ended up having to get RMA for his new Samtron LCD monitor (it sounds like a manufacturer quality problem - I never heard of Samtron)

If you had purchased the monitor as new I think you are covered under the manufacturer warranty. Give them a call. If they give you the runarounds keep on demanding RMA.

You're welcome. I know you're disappointed but plz cheer up - think of it as nothing more than inferior material.

If you bought it on a CC, you shoud have an extra 1yr *or* more waranty in addition to the manufacturers standard warranty.
