The Background Tap in the Display Properties of the Control Panel is visible, but I am not able to click on any of the choices to change my desktop. What's the problem?

xxxx, Right click your Desktop, choose Properties, under the Desktop tab click the Customze Desktop button, under the Web tab make sure that ALL boxes are unchecked, click OK/Apply/OK.
If that doesn't solve the problem go to the link below and under the letter "W"---"Wallpaper - Desktop - Disable Changing" click on the underscored "Allow Wallpaper/Background Changes " to download a reg file fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.
