Not enough space on CDR

Im trying to copy 400 MB of files to a BLANK 700mb CDR. It keep telling me thers not enough space on my CD. I tried several different kinds of blank CDRs but I keep getting the same answer. Can someone help.

check your settings on the burning software and make sure they are correct!

also make sure there are not other files waiting to be burned in the burning folder also!

Iv been trying to do this for a few weeks & i allways had the same problem & yes im sure thers only 400 MB of files.

lurkswithin is right on the bulleye. To better understand what he is saying read the following MSKB regarding CD write staging area & why you must flush out the temporary files that is still waiting to be burned again from the last session.

Why not zip the files/folder smaller ? Then burn them..What are you using to BURN them ?
