Hey..
I run photoshop on my Dell with 1 GIG of 1066RDRAM..
Today for the first time I recieved an error when trying to crop an image.. that there was not enough RAM to complete the task. Well I know I have enough ram.. but what is using it all up, or why it cannot be accessed it the question.

I deleted some files off my PC today.. namely a file recovery app and wondering if this may be causing the problem.
The file it deleted was a system32 file.. called INTI3XT.VXD I believe that was it.
Not sure if that letter after the T in the VXD file is a capital i, or 1 or lowercase L..??

Tried a system restore.. that didn't help...
tried uninstalling and reinstalling.. nadda..

I am lost and need someone to help me find my way home!!

I'm also running 1 Gig of Corsair XMS which should be sufficient for any photoshop job, but have ran into that too. I switched the volume (hard drive) that my "scratch disk" (which I think is like photoshop's cache) to my storage drive....so it's not running on the same harddrive as the program. I haven't had that error again, and have worked with some 300-400 MB files.

I really don't know much about this from the technical aspect, so someone else might want to elaborate. Again, it could have just been purely a coinsedence. The scratch disk setting is listed under preferences. Good luck.

B.

I responded to your post in the other Forum. Didn't anyone help you out in August when you posted here:

I did try reinstalling photoshop and that didn't work. the ram is ok and their are minimal programs running. This is driving me crazy as the photoshop I am running is just the lite version!

I actually resolved problem by changing my virtual memory from 1000mgs back to 700 mgs. I am not sure why this would be aproblem but when i did a system restore, the program worked and taht was the only change I made to my computer.
Thanks again to everyone!
