CPU/Ram: 1.33ghz/256

I have a friend that put his pc together and was having a problem installing the OS (XP)
Because he had not install the internal parts correctly. Over the weekend he added some virus software and some other files that he was saving on his USB. Now the PC is running extremely slow every time he tries to burn MP3s it freezes and wont respond to CRtrl+Alt+del
My question: should I help him again?
