Does anyone have frequent problems with programs that used to run on xp not too long ago all of a sudden becoming:
(!)
"program.exe" is not a valid win32 application
-----------
I also get the same error after a while when I try to run the device manager.I get the error "mmc.exe is not a valid win32 application" specifically.
-----------
you might think that at first glance a virus or something.. but after several complete repartitions and installs on separate computers on the network (including those with new hard drives) the same errors begin to occur after a few weeks.

Thanx in advance....

You never mention that you use a virus scanner. Do you?
