i have installed windows xp on my computer. I did have windows me. I also installed norton's 2002. Everytime i click on norton's to get updates it installs the update then tells me---your operating system is windows 95/98/me. This outdate is not designed for windows 95/98/me. I don't know whether the updates are installing or not. Any help? thank you very much connie

no, they probably are not. are you sure you ahve Norton 2002 and not 2001? 2002 shoudl eb XP compatible but 2001 definatley is not. Try uninstalling it and reinstalling to get the updates. BTW, it is "norton 2002", not norton's 2002.

You need to completely uninstall the older version before installing 2002. There is help for how to do it on the Symantec web site.
