Norton won't start up!

CPU/Ram: P4 3.0 ghz, 512 mb

I took off my norton anti-virus and norton internet security off of my start up in msconfig and now I can't get them back. I had to disable it to see if it was causing problems with a game and now I won't them to start up again and they won't.

uninstall
after removing them in add/remove in control panel, and restarting your computer.
reinstall.
