Norton Protected Recycle Bin

CPU/Ram: pentium 4 2.8 ghz 512mb r

do anyone know how to get to the files that are in Norton Protected Recycle Bin i do it nomally by right clicking and going to unerase wizard but my norton as run out and it asking me to actvate it but i dont want it any more i just want to get the file it protected do anyone know where they are

uninstall NIS if you don't want it anymore (good luck :-) ... it should restore the protected files then.

May be mattie right! I think Norton Protected Recycle Bin compresses this files in a special way so WITHOUT THIS PROGRAM YOU CANNOT RECOVER THEM. Sorry.

i remove norton but i still cant find the files it was protecting seem like they have gone all together

open a command prompt
cd to the recycle bin on the drive in question

type "attrib -h nprotect" (without the quotes and hit enter

type "attrib -s nprotect" (without the quotes and hit enter

type "attrib -a nprotect" (without the quotes and hit enter

cd nprotect
del *.*

I have to dso this on my dual boot system as I don`t have norton installed on my XP partition

click on the start button
click on run
type cmd then hit enter
type cd\ then hit enter

type "attrib -h nprotect" (without the quotes and hit enter)

type "attrib -s nprotect" (without the quotes and hit enter)

type "attrib -a nprotect" (without the quotes and hit enter)

type cd nprotect then hit enter
type del *.* then hit enter then hiy y when asked to confirm file deletion
