Comment:
I have attempted to install Norton Firewall 2003 on Windows XP, but unfortunately disregarded the instruction to disable the Windows XP integrated firewall. Now I can log on to my screen name, but when desktop opens, it is frozen and I cannot interact with Windows or any programme, including the Start menu! Help please!

I cannot use my computer for anything. I can use it by opperating the Safe Mode function but it works for a while and then when I click on the Norton Personal Forewall 2003 icon or pragram file it freezes.

Try a system restore. Or try disabling the XP built in firewall.

I tryed system restore and that said that it couldnt complete the task. I cant dissable the XP firewall because, as I am only able to work in safe mode, the Networks tab is not there.
