Norton Ghost 2003 has the ability to save image files to NTFS partitions.

Any version of Ghost currently being sold at retail should be able to work with NTFS partitions. If you already have an older version of Ghost you can reframe the question to expressly ask if your version supports NTFS partitions.

Good morning Othehill - that's not what Symantec stated in the link below.

Quoted (under New Features):

Ability to save image files to NTFS partitions

In previous Ghost versions, Ghost could not save an image file to a local NTFS partition because DOS does not read NTFS partitions. Norton Ghost 2003 has been written to be able to access NTFS partitions to save image files, and to restore disks or partitions from image files.

XP

2003 isn't the newest version by far. Ghost 2003 is (ghost10.0). The current consumer version is Ghost 12. Any version from 2003 on to 12 can work with NTFS files. I did stat "sold at retail". Some older versions may be available on eBay or at flea markets.

Well, even then older versions could do a bit by bit and not care about the format.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
