Read this excerpt taken from
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost.nsf/docid/2000032312180525

"Norton Ghost 2002 is an upgrade to previous Ghost versions; not an update. That is, it is not available as a free update to Ghost 2001. This version includes compatibility with Windows XP, a 32 bit GDisk.exe, tutorials on the installation CD, and improved CD-R/RW support."

Because 2002 touts XP compatibility, my guess is that 2001 is NOT officially XP compatible :-( Unofficially, I don't know....

You may want to visit
http://home.carolina.rr.com/lexunfreeware/DriveImagingUtilities/DriveImagingUtilities.htm
for some FREE ghosting-like utilities that do work with XP. (I use these since I'm a cheapskate :-)

Nirton Ghost 2003 is out, and they have actually now got it right for the ONE THING I wanted :)

You Can now Ghost your C drive, and make a BOOTABLE DVD!! This means that if XP cocks up which, unfortunately it does, then you can restore the whole drive in a short space of time, with no more mucking about!

Kazza users should have no trouble finding it :)
