Hello, even though I had norton antivirus 2006 installed on my pc a virus was still able to infect my machine. After I was able to remove it, my email (MS Outlook) stopped being able receive email. I found out that while the email protection was enabled in Norton, I could not receive email and sometimes not send it. As soon as I deactivated the email protection, email came and went normally. Symantecs help was to uninstall the software, re install it and update it as the fix was availble. I did all of that and it still does the same thing. As long as I have email protection enabled, I can't get any email.
Anyone have a fix for this?
Please help.
Thanks

Ray

When Symantec support helped you, did they have you use the removal tool to get rid of all traces of the previous installation of Norton AV? If you did not use it I would remove Norton using add/remove programs and then use the tool. It is at;
