You might want to download the Blaster removal tool if the "blaster" you are speaking of is the MsBlast.exe virus...Get it from http://www.symantec.com

Hi Di,

Take a look at your old link again:
[93817] keep restarting

Norton(Symantec) has a special removal tool for it.
Click on this link:
W32.Blaster.Worm Removal Tool
If you follow the instructions on that page, you'll get rid of it.

NAV 2004 may have trouble installing or updating if the virus is still on your computer. Also, Live Update has to types you can set: full-auto(express) or manual(interactive). I keep mine on interactive, because the express version will probably get in the way of other stuff sometimes because Norton is quite a bully on the system.

Use the removal tool first, and apply the two patches that J A Dean referred to (go to the microsoft site, and type the codes into their search-box).

After that, you can reinstall your NAV without problems (I hope).

Good choice!!

Always keep your data backed up, so you can clean the computer every once in a while by reinstalling, even if forced by a virus.

I hope those virusses leave you alone now that NAV2004 is on your side :)
