Hi I konw that this is not sounds funny. I bought a 10 user license norton antivirus 2005 I have installed it on other workstation six of them and it was just fine but when I am finally installing it on my Boss Pc the setup wont run at all as in it wont run nothing will happen no install shield at all... I have tried installing it using add and remove program but nothing same result wont even lounce its setup.. the cd is fine because after that i tried it on my computer and install it.. i tried to install other anti virus and install old versions of norton and its ok..also tried windows repair and reg repair but still the same result, is there any other way that i can work around this problem of mine any help would be much apreciated...

Go into my computer, and right mouse click on the cd drive that the cd is in, and click explore, and try clicking different icons in there like setup.exe or autorun.exe maybe even try to open a read-me and see if that works.... if the setup/autorun then does not work but the readme does... the there is some conflict that the computer has with the program your trying to install.... i dunno what you should do if thats the case..
good luck with that.

Not sure what "lounce its setup" means, but are you logged on with Admin privileges? Have you indeed tried going into "My Computer" and running the setup.exe (or install.exe as appropriate) from the CD?
Lastly, have you checked Symantec's website for this particular problem?
Soylent Green is PEOPLE!

yes im log in as an administrator... and sory I mean auto run.. also tried to do explore and and from there tried to run the setup still the same. and yes i open the read me files from the CD. for some reoson it just doesnt want to run the setup.. im going to check on symantec and also if there are any programs that is conflicting it

Since the dawn of time, Man has struggled to get Symantec's (un)installers to work reliably. Pending the discovery of a large black monolith on the moon, no luck yet.
Try reading through the articles in InstallShield's knowledgebase. Check the event viewer to see if any relevant events are being generated. Maybe you'll get lucky.
You can also try updating the InstallShield engine on the affected computer.
