Norton 2003 and 2004

I have been using Norton AV 2003 for about a year and it's OK except that occasionally the auto protect feature goes off(which I always keep on)& would not switch on from within the software. This is usually solved by a reboot. I need to know if anybody has had the same experience with the 2003 version on Xp home. Also has anybody seen the same problem with the 2004 version?

Yeh.. i have noticed this happening after a while of use..

Are you running any creative products?

Do a search on www.symantec.com about startup because i remember a while back i had this problem and it was actually because of an creative product was conflicting on startup.

Yes you will have 2 remove the old one before installing Nav2004..

Uninstall through Add/Remove Programs and also download the "Remove AntiVirus" tool from symantec to ensure anything left over from the previous version are deleted.
