Norton 2002 Live update Problem

My Norton 2002 does not do the live updates and virus definitions automaticaly anymore, it comes up that it cant find run dll. I have to go on to symantecs site and download manually. Why has this suddenly stopped.
You have to register the dll reported, i.e. the dll file is stored on your hard disk but the entry in the registry is corrupted.
You can find the procedure to repair this trouble browising the Symantec knowledge base using the correct keywords (e.g. LiveUpdate Virus Definition).
You need to be patient in performing the search as that is a tedious process, but I found the issue and solved exactly the problem you reported for my Norton AntiVirus 2002 that now works like a charm.
